LGSC 2019 Alumni has vast experience working in education and most recently is working in the not-for-profit sector with Beyond the Bell Great South Coast as Executive Officer. The work connects Kate, and the collective, across six local government areas of Southwest Victoria and has the vision of ‘all young people are connected to education and engaged in their learning’.  Ensuring children and young people, no matter their postcode, have access to and are engaged in quality education is what drives her.

Kate has extensive leadership and secondary teaching experience in a variety of mainstream and alterative settings throughout Australia. Her experience ranges from Deputy Principal, teaching and learning leadership at system level, project management and working with clusters of schools on a shared vision for action.

Kate grew up in south west Victoria and has strong connections with various groups and organisations.
