Leah McDonald

Leah grew up in Warrnambool and is the Manager of Housing Support and Linkages programs at Brophy Family & Youth Services. The programs cover all Brophy adult housing support programs including Rough Sleeping and Tenancy Plus.

Leah has held a career in the housing and homelessness space since 2015, with roles including DFFH Housing, Bethany Emergency Relief and Financial Capability and Brophy adult housing and homelessness supports.

Being passionate about strong advocacy and improving linkages to community for those at risk of or experiencing homelessness, has seen Leah develop great communication and rapport building skills with those she supports.

Leah is determined to raise visibility of homelessness issues within the local area and bring forward the resilience and determination of those currently without, or at risk of losing their home.  She is currently the Chair of the Southwest Local Area Service Network (SWLASN), that supports the work of the Victorian Homelessness Network.

Outside of working, Leah is a partner to Warren, mother of three adult children and a very excited grandmother of 3. To relax, Leah enjoys Pilates and getting together with family and friends.
