Mark Brennan

Mark Brennan is currently the Executive Officer at South West Primary Care Partnership. In this role Mark works with a dynamic group of over 30 member agencies and over 10 partnership networks in the GSC region empowering communities to improve their health and wellbeing, using integrated approaches to prevent, coordinate and manage complex social problems and chronic illness.

Previously Mark was Programs Manager, Health and Wellbeing Pillar, Barwon Primary Care Partnership. Mark coordinated an integrated partnership of 15 member agencies addressing the determinants of mental health and well-being which included working groups of member agencies on; Freedom from Violence against Women, Freedom from Discrimination, Physical Activity and Social Connectedness

Marks professional background has included working on the Australian Early Years Development Index coordination across 19 primary schools, Physical Activity and Nutrition (Community Garden Development) and Smoking Cessation, a community approach in partnership with Neighborhood Renewal.

Mark was the Active Eat Well and Romp and Chomp Coordinator of whole of Community Obesity Prevention Initiatives. Two of four projects worldwide to show a significant difference in the weight status of over a 1000 children compared to a control group of a 1000 children across the Barwon South West region.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science, Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics and is a Graduate of Australian Company Directors.
